Things that annoy recruiters

Recruitment agencies exist to match up people looking for jobs with companies hiring. They act as the go-between and can be an easy way for candidates to be put forward for multiple jobs, without having to create separate applications for each. They also allow companies to be able to access a very large pool of applicants without having to trawl through hundreds of CVs.
It’s important to recognise that recruiters receive hundreds of CVs every week, so standing out is of paramount importance. There are a number of things that will annoy a recruiter and not put you in the best position to be considered for a role.
This includes not tailoring your CV, lacking professionalism, not answering the phone or calling too often, not being clear about what you want, not following up after interviews and cancelling interviews last minute (without good reason!)
